In My Library

Two.

Hey guys, I’m back! So I thought it would be a good idea to read two books at the same time. Whoosh. I’ll admit the trying to read two books thing did not go too well for me. I was trying to read the Challenge for Africa and July’s People. I’ve decided to stick with one book at a time. The Challenge For Africa-Wangari Maathai. So I’ve finished reading the Challenge for Africa by Wangari Maathai. I enjoyed every second of this book. Mostly because I am a huge fan of Wangari Maathai. She highlights some essential challenges hindering progress on the continent going as far as to describe Africa as a society that was held up by the 3 legged stool. She outlines a variety of important sectors that African face challenges and some possible solutions. Bold. Nadine Gordimer-July’s People. This story set is South Africa during the Apartheid regions sees a white family on the other side of the conflict. With homes of white settlers being raided the family seek refuge in their servants village. Now they must rely on him and his family for their safety. I’ll give this a 3/5, I didn’t enjoy it much. CURRENT READ. I’m now reading Zadie Smith Swing Time. So far it’s a bit slow but I’m not complaining yet. I hope it picks though! Sending you love and light. It’s good to be back.
