Champagne Violin

June Practice.

Hi guys. So this is a new thing to keep you all a bit more updated with all things violin. In this section I’ll be talking about what I’m working on each month and what resources I’m using to practice. Here is the material I’m using this month.

Wolfhart Etudes

Really good for bowing. Been working on the first 3. Etudes with variations in bowing. For March another set of Etudes with different bowing patterns. Excited to improve. If you want to get the book, you can download it here.

I’ve been enjoying building my repertoire with these simple pieces. Halfway down with the book. For June and July I’ll keep doing these and hopefully I can get on book 2.

Scales and Repertoire .

I’ve been practicing my ABRSM grade 4 scales. Revising them and building from a lower level up. I’ve been practicing them grossly under tempo in one octave and continue to add other octaves. I really use these for my tone improvement and critical with helping me shift. I’m also doing lots of covers for my repertoire! And working on a few jazzy pieces too. Not easy ( the jazz pieces) but absolutely fun! What are your practice goals for the month? Love and Love! K
