BLOGMAS DAY 20 | FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS

Earlier this year I sat in a hospital a bit confused and feeling like for the first time in a long time I could not hear from God.
Does anyone else ever feel like that sometimes? Like you can’t hear from God? Like He’s switched off the line? Like the connection has been severed?

That was me!
Confused.
Since I started this walk, I always felt like I knew exactly what God wanted me to do, so I was eternally confused when I could not.

We often wonder why bad things happened to us. We so often question the thorns in our side. And like Paul. We spend time begging God, pleading with him, day and night, to take it away

Your will be done

We pray this, we say this, we sing the songs and post the captions.
But what happens when the will of God has pain and loss, has suffering and moments of doubt and defeat.

Your pain  has purpose!
And in the depth of it you may not be able to see,
Or understand,
But hold on to this,

ALL THINGS WORK FOR THE GOOD OF THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.

Not some things,
Not the good things,
Not the things you post,
Even the pain.
Even the hurt.
Even the shame.

All things ,for such a time as this.
